We had a really nice Easter weekend. On Saturday we drove up to Scott and Tricia's to see if the Easter Bunny had left any eggs at their house. Scott's cousin also came with his two kids so it was a fun house full of second-cousins. The Easter Bunny came through with PLENTY of eggs for all. We also enjoyed a yummy potluck dinner together.
A couple from Jeremy's program invited us over for a turkey dinner on Sunday. I especially enjoyed the home-made ice-cream.
The whole crew, minus Ainsley, who is standing next to Ayden, and the two-week old baby, who was probably sleeping.
The next morning they decided to make "paths" so that they could still navigate. Soon after they didn't even bother with that. This is a picture of the floor after about two weeks. Can you see the beautiful purple carpet? They didn't seem to mind the mess until they finally ran out of clean underwear and clothes. (I wasn't washing anything unless it made it to the laundry basket). I was starting to wonder if they would ever grow tired of living in a pigsty. Happily, after about three weeks and without any adult intervention they decided that cleaning their room wasn't such a bad idea after all. I don't think the mess ever got to them. Mostly, they got tired of not having any clean clothes to wear.

I love "The Experiment!" I will have to try that!
I wonder if my guy would get the experiment already? What a fantastic idea!!!
And what fun pictures, Wendy! They are growing too fast!
You're brave! I'm not sure if I could handle the mess even if it wasn't my room. Of course, I would probably get tired of cleaning it myself, so I'll probably be joining 'the experiment' when Gary is that old. =) Love you!
Homemade ice cream?!?!?! Who does that anymore? Lucky!!!! Cute pics of the Easter egg hunters. =o) I just want to pinch James' cheeks!
How did you stand it for three weeks? You are certainly more patient and experimental than I am. So glad you got have the Easter fun with Scott, Tricia, Sydney and Owen and friends. Your missionary companion, Sr. Magnusson says "Hello". She is a newly-wed and so cute. She was visiting her sick Grandma in our complex. Hap-hap-happy Mother's Day! {:)
That experiment is so funny. Maybe it'll work better in the future if you take away all but 6-7 undies each ;) - that way it'd only last a week! Or maybe they'd catch on that you rigged it...
I can't believe how old Claire is and how dark her hair is! She looks like a little model! Dark hair, dark eyelashes - beautiful.
