Holiday Season 2011

Before school let out, Claire debuted in her Kindergarten's "Gingerbread Revue" as a pink piglet.

She had a great time and did a good job chasing that gingerbread boy and singing the "Ginger Twist."

Grandma Durrans sent us a package of gingerbread house supplies. James got to make and eat his own creation which started out looking like this and ended up looking like this.

Claire is still enjoying playing dress-ups with her two live dolls.

Not sure why all the gingerbread house pictures ended up scattered.

Most exciting of all was a visit from my brother David! We visited the Hands-On-Museum, went ice-skating and swimming, and had our shepard's dinner(the tradition lives on Jaime!) and nativity before he left. He got to be Joseph while Claire was Mary. The girls cried after we dropped him off and James asked for "Uncle Dabib" a few times the next day. Thanks David!

Ayden wanted to be the angel Gabriel and Claire joined in for"Angels We Have Heard on High" since they both learned it in primary.

Christmas Eve we were invited to my cousin Tricia's for dinner and a short nativity. Afterwards all the kids opened their new pajamas and changed for bed. James was tired and cranky so he declined the wardrobe change.

We had a wonderful Christmas. I was overwhelmed by the love and support and generosity of friends and family. I wish I could thank all who anonymously sent gifts.

After hearing the girls singing "Angel We Have Heard on High," James started singing his own version of the chorus for us in the car. I caught this version on tape a few nights ago.

We love all the pictures! I think my favorite part was when James told you 'no' at the end of the video and held out his hand. Classic. =)

loved the video! why was he telling you no? was it that he didnt' want you filming him? That was so cute. My kids still LOVE the bethlehem dinner. THey had a bit of a hard time b/c we were invited to our bro/sis in laws in Heber for CHristmas eve and since we invited them last year and they came, we felt like we should reciprocate and go to their house. They were very relieved when they decided to stick with the same kind of dinner as we usually do.

I'm glad you had a good christmas. We miss/love you.

Great times with David, and Tricia and family! The Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Michigan. Congratulations, Claire, for your part in the play. 26 came for our family open house last night and we had a great party. Only Ashley and Greg and Gabe couldn't make it. Remind me next year to cut the food in half...before I eat it! Sure do love you all!
