I figured I should get one last batch of pics up before the Christmas batch rolls in. Claire and Ayden both had publishing parties last month. I was so proud of Claire for reading hers to the class. I wasn't sure if she would actually do it but she didn't hesitate.
I forgot the camera for Ayden's party because I was babysitting two extras and it was hectic trying to get out the door. She wrote an excellent story about Jame's birthday party.
I started cleaning the shower with baking soda and vinegar so that the kids could "help." They had a blast. We'll see how excited they are the next time.
We tried to make a healthy version of the usual cookie/candy turkey I had when I was little. We used apples, string cheese, a few chocolate covered pretzels...Only the chocolate covered pretzels were consumed, but the girls had fun making them.
This is James a few minutes before we were supposed to leave for church. Unfortunately it was water-proof so he went to church with some mascara still around his eyes. I'm trying to be more careful to not leave things where he can reach them, but he's getting too smart.

I love children's imaginations! Great story Claire. Wendy-everytime I see pictures of the things James gets into, I get scared of what Gary will be doing in a few more months! He loves playing in my make-up drawer, but so far the worst damage done was scattering bobby pins and hair clips.
Cute! We did the mascara thing last month, too. Why is it always right before you need to get out the door...I think snow trumps school for sure! Love you guys!
It's so cool,Claire, that you read your story. Wish we were there to hear it. Is that Ayden? You look like you're 10 years old instead of eight. Will Uncle David be baptizing you? James looks great in his new tie. What a creative, cute Mom you have. We, too, are praying for snow (in the mountains) to clear away the smog. Love, G & G
I am soooo glad you posted! I loved the pics! Gotta love mascara for church! I personally never go without it! ha ha. I am so proud of Claire too! Way to go little lady!
